Barbara Krasner, PhD, brings three decades of experience in organizational sustainability across nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Her work spans grant research and writing, program development and evaluation, and the systems that help organizations put funding to work.
She supports both grant applicants and funders, from identifying opportunities and developing proposals to evaluating awards, monitoring projects, and closing grants.

Across her career, Barbara has written grants that attracted $57 million for projects in social justice, climate-related environmental work, mental health, healthcare access and technology, education, and workforce development. She has also provided oversight and compliance support for more than $500 million in grants across the United States and its territories.
Her experience includes federal, state, private philanthropic, corporate, and individual grant applications. She also develops grant programs, establishes funding priorities, and writes the policies and procedures needed to administer them.

Barbara has built development functions within multiple nonprofit organizations, grounding fundraising and grant writing in current demographic, social, and environmental data. Her work also includes nonprofit board development and training, cross-departmental grant teams, and program evaluation using appropriate performance indicators and metrics.
She holds a BA from Johns Hopkins University and an MA and PhD in Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
